According to the Order Paper for the legislative sitting, the House will receive the report of an Adhoc Committee that conducted a Post Legislative Scrutiny (PLS) of the Open Rearing and Grazing Regulation Law, 2019, and the Oyo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun) Law, 2020.

The report, which follows a resolution passed by the House on April 17, 2025, will be presented by the Leader of the House and Chairman of the Committee, Hon. S.A. Onaolapo, representing Ogbomoso South State Constituency. The review is expected to assess the effectiveness, challenges and impact of both laws since their enactment.

Lawmakers will also consider the report of the Joint Committee on Nutrition and Food Security and Agriculture and Rural Development following its interface with officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the management of the Oyo State Central Abattoir at Amosun Village, Akinyele, Ibadan.

The committee examined the need for the standardisation of the abattoir to improve food hygiene, meat processing standards and public health safety across the state. The report will be presented by Hon. O.A. Babalola, representing Ibadan North East I State Constituency and Co-Chairman of the committee.

In another significant development, the Assembly is expected to debate a motion urging the Executive Arm of Government to strengthen security in public primary and secondary schools through the deployment of personnel of the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun.

The motion, sponsored by Hon. A.O. Oluwafowokanmi of Ibadan South West II Constituency, is coming in response to the prevailing security challenges in parts of the state, including the recent attack and abduction of teachers and students at Community High School, Esiele, Oyo, and L.A. Primary School, Yawota, in Oriire Local Government Area.

The lawmaker is seeking the House’s intervention to urge the state government to deploy Amotekun operatives to schools located in strategic areas to enhance the safety of teachers, students and educational infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Assembly has also notified members of a Special Sitting scheduled for June 11, 2026, to honour the late Hon. Akinlabi Adewale, a former member of the Second Assembly who represented Akinyele State Constituency.

The special sitting will feature a lying-in-state ceremony in honour of the late legislator.

The House will also conduct the second reading of two proposed legislations—the Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Oyo State Medical Residency Training Bill, 2025.
