As Nigerians commemorate this year’s Democracy Day, distinguished Senator Biodun Olujimi has extended warm greetings to citizens across the country, urging them to continue supporting democratic institutions and offering prayers for governments at all levels.

Senator Olujimi described Democracy Day as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey, noting that it provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of past heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom, justice, and democratic governance.

She called on Nigerians to remain committed to the ideals of democracy by promoting peace, unity, tolerance, and active participation in the nation’s development. According to her, sustained progress can only be achieved when citizens and leaders work together in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and cooperation.

The former Senate Minority Leader also appealed to Nigerians to continue praying for the country’s leaders at the federal, state, and local government levels, stressing that effective governance requires wisdom, courage, and divine guidance to address the nation’s challenges and deliver meaningful development to the people.

Senator Olujimi expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, stating that despite existing challenges, the nation possesses the human and natural resources needed to achieve greater prosperity and stability.

She urged citizens not to lose hope but to remain patriotic and supportive of efforts aimed at strengthening democratic governance, improving economic opportunities, and enhancing the welfare of all Nigerians.

“On this Democracy Day, I congratulate all Nigerians and encourage us to continue supporting our governments through constructive engagement, prayers, and collective commitment to nation-building. Together, we can build a stronger, more united, and prosperous Nigeria,” she said.

She wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Democracy Day celebration.
