…Pledges Sustained Support for Youth Empowerment and Creative Industry
The House of Representatives candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, has reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment and the growth of Nigeria’s creative industry with a generous financial donation to the National Association of Nigerian Music Promoters.
Dr. Fagbemi made the donation during a colourful ceremony where he was honoured with the prestigious Grand Commander of Entertainment Award in recognition of his contributions to the promotion and development of the entertainment industry.
The event, held at the premises of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Agodi, Ibadan, attracted members of the National Association of Nigerian Music Promoters, entertainment stakeholders, artistes, cultural enthusiasts, invited guests, political associates and supporters.
Presenting the award, the leadership of the association commended Dr. Fagbemi for his unwavering support for initiatives aimed at promoting music, discovering talents and empowering young people through the entertainment industry.
The organisers described him as a philanthropist and community leader whose humanitarian activities have continued to impact lives across Oyo State.
According to the association, the honour was conferred on Dr. Fagbemi in appreciation of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of the entertainment sector and his commitment to youth development.
Following the presentation of the award, Dr. Fagbemi announced a substantial financial donation to support the association’s programmes and activities aimed at strengthening the music promotion industry and creating more opportunities for talented young Nigerians.

He pledged that, if elected to represent Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, he would champion policies and programmes that would enhance youth development, support creative enterprises and improve access to opportunities for emerging talents.
The APM candidate also urged young Nigerians to remain focused, innovative and law-abiding while pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, assuring them of his continued support.
