The convention reached its climax with soul-lifting ministrations by the church choir, choreography presentations by the children’s department, and fervent intercessory prayers led by the General Overseer of the ministry, Rev’d (Dr) Moses Aransiola.

Delivering his apostolic charge during the closing service, Rev’d Aransiola reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to intercessory prayer, describing it as the divine mandate upon which the church was founded.

According to him, the vision of Gethsemane Prayer Ministries International is deeply rooted in standing in the gap for nations, individuals, and corporate organizations through prayer and spiritual intercession.

“We are focusing on what is so dear to God, which is intercessory prayer, and that is our heavenly vision. We have an intercessory prayer mandate in this house to intercede for the needs of nations and corporate bodies,” he declared.

The cleric emphasized the importance of spiritual awakening and alignment with God’s purpose, urging worshippers to key into the prophetic declarations released during the convention in order to experience transformation spiritually, professionally, and physically.

In his sermon titled, “I Shall Manifest,” Rev’d Aransiola noted that God’s original purpose and design for humanity is for man to excel and manifest His glory on earth. Drawing Biblical references from Judges 5:8 and 1 Samuel 17:55, he challenged believers to deepen their prayer life and seek divine direction in order to unlock their destinies.

He further stressed that many destinies remain dormant because individuals fail to maintain a consistent relationship with God through prayer and obedience.

“Every child of God is created to manifest greatness and reveal the glory of God. Prayer is the key that awakens sleeping glory and restores lost opportunities,” he said.

The General Overseer also commended the church choir for their outstanding ministrations throughout the convention, noting that their songs and worship sessions contributed immensely to the spiritual atmosphere experienced during the programme.

Speaking on the success recorded during the convention, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Pastor (Dr.) Timothy Ofoha, described the event as impactful and spiritually uplifting.

According to him, numerous testimonies of healing, restoration, deliverance, and spiritual revival had been recorded since the commencement of the programme on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

“The meeting was designed to usher people into God’s presence to pray and awaken their glory,” he explained.

He added that the convention was also aimed at strengthening spiritual leadership within the church and equipping workers for greater service in the vineyard of God.

“The programme is designed to deliver and recover lost grounds and awaken the glory that may have gone to sleep in the lives of the people,” Pastor Ofoha stated.

One of the major highlights of the grand finale was the ordination and promotion of selected church workers into various leadership positions within the ministry.

Among those ordained as Deaconesses were Mrs. Funke Olubodun and Mrs. Grace Oyedeji, while Brother Aanu Toriola and Brother Abiodun Oladejo were ordained as Ministers. Minister Anslem Onokhome was also elevated to the office of Assistant Pastor.

The ordination ceremony was greeted with applause and excitement from worshippers who described the development as a reward for dedication, commitment, and faithful service in the house of God.

The event also featured special presentations from the children’s department, including choreography displays and words of exhortation that added colour and inspiration to the convention’s closing activities.

Many participants who spoke after the programme described the 2026 edition of the Fresh Fire Convention as life-transforming and spiritually enriching, expressing gratitude to God for the impact the convention has continued to make over the years.

For nearly four decades, the Fresh Fire Convention has remained one of the flagship spiritual programmes of Gethsemane Prayer Ministries International, drawing thousands of worshippers annually and serving as a platform for prayer revival, prophetic impartation, and spiritual renewal.

As the curtains closed on the 39th edition, worshippers departed with renewed hope, strengthened faith, and expectations of divine manifestation in every area of their lives.
