All Progressive Congress (APC) Candidate vying for Oyo South Senatorial Seat in the Senate, Hon. Aderemi Oseni has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s endorsement of All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections as a major boost for the party and a clear demonstration of confidence in its leadership.


Hon. Oseni made this known following a high-level meeting between President Tinubu and leaders of the APC held in Lagos, where key party candidates and stakeholders gathered to strategize ahead of the forthcoming elections.

During the meeting, President Tinubu formally endorsed Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Ali as the APC governorship candidate for Oyo State. The President also gave his backing to the party’s senatorial candidates, including Hon. Aderemi Oseni for Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Yunus Akintunde for Oyo Central, and Mrs. Hannah Ogunesan for Oyo North Senatorial District.
The meeting attracted several prominent APC leaders and stakeholders, among whom were Chief Ayo Hamzat Adeseun, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, Hon. Soji Adedeji, former Deputy Governor Iyiola Oladokun, Mr. Olugbenga Olayemi, Oyo State APC Chairman, Otunba Alake Adeyemo, and other notable party chieftains.
Speaking after the meeting, Oseni expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as a strong vote of confidence in the party’s candidates and the leadership structure of the APC in Oyo State.
According to him, the President’s endorsement would further energize party members and supporters, strengthening their determination to work tirelessly toward securing victory for the APC in the state and across the country during the 2027 general elections.
Oseni noted that President Tinubu’s commitment to the development of Oyo State and his continued support for the party’s leadership provide renewed hope and encouragement for members ahead of the polls.
He reaffirmed his commitment to collaborating with party leaders, stakeholders, and residents of Oyo South Senatorial District to advance the ideals of the APC while promoting quality representation and sustainable development.
The federal lawmaker also called on APC members across Oyo State to remain united, focused, and committed to the collective objective of ensuring a decisive victory for the party.
He expressed optimism that with unity, dedication, and sustained public support, the APC would record greater success and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Oyo State and Nigeria.
