A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC. and CEO of Harrison Alonge Foundation, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge(HOA) has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and voters in Ikere-Ekiti for delivering a peaceful and orderly governorship election.

Alonge , who cast his vote at Polling Unit LA 004, Ward Edemo, said the high turnout and calm atmosphere reflected both voter maturity and effective grassroots mobilization ahead of the poll.

Speaking with HOA Media Team after voting, Alonge described the electoral process as encouraging and praised INEC, security agencies, and ad-hoc officials for professionalism.

“I am impressed with the level of organization and the peaceful atmosphere here in Ikere-Ekiti. From accreditation to voting, the process was smooth. INEC officials arrived early and voters conducted themselves orderly,” he said.

The France-based businessman noted that his weeks of voter education and mobilization across the eleven wards of Ikere-Ekiti contributed to the impressive turnout and peaceful conduct.

“Our people understood that their vote would count. The sensitization we did across communities helped build trust in the process. I believe that made a great impact in the area today. When voters are informed and confident, they will come out and vote peacefully,” Alonge stated.

He urged eligible voters who were yet to vote to come out peacefully, stressing that elections give citizens the chance to choose leaders without fear or intimidation.

“Every vote is vital in determining the future of Ekiti State. I appeal to political parties, supporters, and residents to maintain peace before, during, and after this election. Our unity and stability must remain paramount,” he added.

Alonge expressed confidence that the outcome would reflect the will of the people and further strengthen democracy in Ekiti.

“Democracy thrives when citizens participate actively and peacefully. I congratulate Ekiti people for this commitment and urge all stakeholders to uphold sportsmanship and respect for democratic values,” he concluded.
