The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board , Hon Akeem Ademola Ige has extended warm greetings to Muslims globally on the occasion of year 2026 Eid-El- Kabir celebration.
In his message issued and made available to journalists, Hon Akeem Ige felicitated Muslims all over the world including the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa1, the Chief Imam of Ibadanland Sheikh AbdulGaniy Agbotomokekere , pensioners , management and staff of the Board and urged them to use the occasion of the celebration to pray fervently for the release of the abducted teachers and pupils of Oriire Local Government, Ogbomoso area of Oyo State.
The Chairman acknowledged the efforts of the state Governor, His Excellency, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, in ensuring that victims are rescued without recording any casualty..
He therefore advised Muslim ummah to celebrate in moderation, be their brother’s keeper, remember the less privileged, embrace unity, love and imbibe virtues of sacrifice, obedience, peaceful co-existence and steadfastness.
He then prayed that they will celebrate many more years in the land of the living.
