Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, has congratulated the Association of Mogajis of Ibadanland on their 2-0 victory over the Association of Baales of Ibadanland in a novelty football match held at the Olubadan Stadium, Ibadan.
The novelty match, which took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, was organised as part of activities marking the first coronation anniversary and 82nd birthday celebration of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Senator) Dr. Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I.
Sanusi, in a congratulatory message, described the match as more than a sporting encounter, noting that it provided an opportunity for members of the traditional institutions in Ibadanland to strengthen bonds of unity, friendship and togetherness.
He commended both the Mogajis and Baales for their participation and sportsmanship, while congratulating the Mogajis on their victory.
According to him, the event demonstrated the spirit of unity and camaraderie existing among the traditional institutions and people of Ibadanland.
Sanusi also felicitated the Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on his 82nd birthday and first coronation anniversary, praying for continued good health, wisdom and a peaceful, prosperous and impactful reign.
He wished the monarch many more years of fruitful service to Ibadanland and its people.
