The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isinbode Ward 12, led by the Ward Chairman, Mr. Johnson Ilesanmi, alongside ward executives and key stakeholders, including the APC Chairman, Ekiti South Senatorial District, Chief Akinbobola Akindele, has embarked on an extensive grassroots mobilisation tour across various camps within the community as part of preparations for the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti State.
The three-day mobilisation exercise saw party leaders visit 11 camps, including Aba Ebira, Aba Jubril, Aba Oka, Aba Giwa, Aba Paul, Aba Sunday, Aba Kehinde, and other settlements inhabited by Tiv, Hausa, Akoko, and other ethnic groups residing within the ward.
Addressing residents during the visits, former lawmaker Hon. Olasehinde Ogunrinde highlighted several achievements of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) in the area. According to him, these include the construction of the Isinbode–Ara–Ikole Road, the renovation and equipping of healthcare facilities, and the provision of employment opportunities for young graduates and school leavers without discrimination based on political affiliation or ethnicity.
A community leader, High Chief Alabi Muyiwa, emphasized the importance of the forthcoming governorship election in Ekiti State and urged residents of the various camps visited to come out en masse and vote for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and his deputy, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye, to ensure the continuation of the state’s developmental strides.
Members of the Ebira, Akoko, and Hausa communities expressed appreciation for the governor’s developmental projects, particularly in road infrastructure and healthcare services, noting that these initiatives have significantly enhanced economic activities and contributed to the reduction of maternal and child mortality rates. They pledged their unwavering support and promised to vote massively for Governor BAO in the forthcoming election.
As part of the outreach programme, palliatives were distributed to residents to support their welfare and livelihoods.
The mobilisation tour ended on a positive note, with party leaders expressing confidence that Isinbode Ward 12 would deliver an overwhelming victory for Governor BAO at the polls.
Other APC leaders and stakeholders who participated in the ward mobilisation tour included the Secretary to Ayeikire Local Government, Hon. Ogunjobi Esan; the Councillor representing the ward, Hon.
