2027: Oyo APC appoints Lanlehin, Adedoja, Agboola , Others To Lead Post-Primary Reconciliation Committee

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has appointed former Senator, Femi Lanlehin, former Minister, Abiodun Adedoja, and Senator Soji Akanbi and Senator Ayoola Agboola, among other elder statesmen, as members of its reconciliation committee set up to address grievances from the recently concluded party primaries.

This was in anticipation of the need for fence mending and sustenance of peace and unity after the conclusion of its primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections in the state.

A statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, in Ibadan, the state capital, listed the names of the committee members to include; “Senators Olufemi Lanlehin, Brimo Yusuf, Hosea Agboola, Akin Oke, former Head of Service of the Federation, Prof Afolabi Oladapo, Idris Adeoye, Pa Timothy Jolaoso, Olukemi Alao-Akala, Adebayo Adewusi, Gunju Ojo and Adekemi Opatunde.”

The committee, which is expected to be inaugurated this week by the state Chairman of the party and former deputy governor, Moses Adeyemo, will be mandated to reach out to all those who obtained “Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms of the APC from Oyo but were unable to secure the party tickets to vie for various elective posts as they desired.”

The PUNCH reports that the state APC candidate, Sharafadeen Alli had, on Thursday, June 2, 2026, formally received Independent National Electoral Commission nomination form, while unveiling Adesoji Adedeji as his running mate for the 2027 governorship election.

Adedeji, 46, is an Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and hails from Iwo-Ate in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area of the state.

He is also the younger brother of the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji.

However, other members of the reconciliation committee set by the APC, on Sunday, are; “Abisoye Fagade, Kamorudeen Ajisafe, Abu Gbadamosi, Isiaka Alimi, Niran Adeyoju, Yinka Folarin, Emmanuel Olaoye, Mufutau Adisa, Sule Ajibade, Prof Abideen Olaiya, Dayo Lawal, Ibrahim Bolomope, Mabel Williams, Jelili Agboola, Kehinde Oloya, Goke Oyetunji, Ramota Okemakinde, Raji Rasaki, Segun Ajanaku, Shakiru Fagunwa, Abduwaheed Lawal, Esther Adedokun and Obatunde Oladapo.

Sadare said, “The reconciliation committee, upon its inauguration later this week, would be given the task to meet with all relevant stakeholders including aspirants who feel dissatisfied by the outcome of the recent primaries which produced APC candidates for the next general elections.

“It is hoped that this effort would bring about the desired peace and unity for our great party to win big at the polls next year,” he explained.
