The Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Engineer Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1, has expressed his deepest gratitude for what he described as President Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership and his recent approval for the award of construction of Oyo Circular road from Ijawaya- FGGC -Sabo -Ilora and Akinmorin all in the Oyo Federal Constituency .

It will be recalled that during the visit of the Paramount Ruler to the President at his Bourdillion residence in Ikoyi, Lagos , part of the discussion was the need for urgent provision of critical infrastructure within the metropolis , in order to improve socio economic lives of the people.
Alaafin noted that for decades, the poor conditions of Oyo metropolis roads posed severe socio-economic challenges for the people, adding that President Tinubu’s administration’s prompt attention to this critical infrastructure will no doubt bring immense relief.
The newly approved circular road , if completed, Oba Owoade stated will transform the people’s daily lives and empowering the metropolis by boosting local economy, as farmers and traders will have seamless, faster access to major markets, and drastically reduce travel times and crop spoilage while fostering new local business investments.
According to him, “” it will also improve healthcare and emergency access, as residents, particularly pregnant women and the elderly, can now easily access nearby hospitals and emergency services without delays caused by poor road conditions, as well as enhance safety and connectivity through the smooth, well-paved surface that will drastically reduce vehicular wear and tear, but make daily commuting safer, and connect our communities to neighboring towns.

Oba Owoade also commended some illustrious sons of the City, including Engr. Idris Adeoye Adegboyega, Alhaji Wasiu Adebisi, and Dr. Zacheus Adelabu, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service ( FIIRS) for their unflinching commitment a and supportive roles towards the development of the metropolis.
