During the visit, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi delivered a message of comfort drawn from 1 Thessalonians 4:18, emphasizing the scriptural call for believers to encourage one another in times of grief.

He noted that his presence was in fulfillment of this biblical instruction.

The General Overseer described the late Pastor Erakhifu as “God’s General and Strategic Planner” a meticulous, diligent, and highly gifted multitasker who served the Church with exceptional excellence.

Beyond his role as Media Director, Pastor Paul I. Erakhifu handled several critical responsibilities, including church communications, digital evangelism architecture, global broadcast coordination, training of media ministers, and editorial oversight of UACC publications.

His imprint of excellence, he noted, is evident across virtually all platforms advancing the Church’s global gospel mandate.

Rev. Dr. Owoyemi highlighted Pastor Erakhifu’s immense contributions to both his personal ministry and the broader mission of the Church, acknowledging the profound loss his passing represents.

He urged members and all who were impacted by the late pastor’s life to uphold and sustain the legacy of diligence and service he established.

“We do not mourn as those without hope. Pastor Paul has fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith,”* he said, citing 2 Timothy 4:7.

Following his visit to the Church headquarters, Rev. Dr. Owoyemi led a delegation to the residence of the late Pastor Paul I. Erakhifu to extend condolences to the family.

The team met with Deaconess Blessing Erakhifu, the wife of the deceased; Elder Mrs. Christiana Atima, his elder sister; and the children.

During the visit, the General Overseer and members of the delegation conveyed messages of encouragement, urging the family to remain steadfast in their faith in God despite their grief.

They acknowledged the pain of the loss while offering comfort in the assurance that Pastor Paul I. Erakhifu had gone to be with his Maker, whom he served faithfully.

“His labour for this gospel continues to speak,” they affirmed.

The visit concluded with the signing of the condolence register and prayers for the bereaved family.

Burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
