Oyo State Government on Thursday released another tranch of N200 million  for payment of compensation to  residents affected by the ongoing circular Road project in Ibadan.

that the announcement came during an interface held at the Conference Room,  Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, with the affected  residents, today.

Speaking on behalf of Oyo State Governor, the Commissioner  for  Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Akin-Funmilayo Williams noted that the present administration has pledged to bring succour to the affected residents  around the ongoing circular road, by paying due compensation to them.

Makinde  said the   N 200 million  will make the fourth round of compensation to the affected residents around Odeyale in Ona-Ara Local Government of the state, thus rounding off the payment to near one billion naira.

Similarly, Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade who commended the political will of the present administration to strengthen its  infrastructural economy, called for a continued support of residents around the Circular Road long planned over 20 years ago for due industrialization and socio-economic boost target.

Meanwhile, two of the beneficiaries, Adekunle Bolaji and Dauda Jimoh who lauded the sincerity of the government, noted that the compensation will restore their lost joy.
