A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State and Ikere-Ekiti-born philanthropist, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA), has called on voters across the state to remain focused on continuity, development, and visionary leadership as governorship campaign activities gather momentum.
In a statement released through his media aide, Comrade Olawale Ogunyebi, and made available to the press in Ado-Ekiti, Alonge emphasized that the forthcoming election presents a critical opportunity for the people to consolidate ongoing developmental strides, particularly in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and grassroots empowerment. He urged citizens not to be swayed by distractions but to carefully assess candidates based on proven capacity, track record, and commitment to public service.
Highlighting the achievements of the current administration led by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), Alonge noted that the state has witnessed steady progress across key sectors, positioning Ekiti on a path of sustainable growth. He stressed that continuity in governance would ensure that these gains are not only preserved but further expanded for the benefit of future generations.
According to him, elections should go beyond rhetoric and sentiment, focusing instead on policies and practical plans that directly impact the welfare of the people. He encouraged youths, women, and community leaders to actively participate in the democratic process and support leadership that prioritizes inclusiveness and development.
Alonge, a France-based business mogul, further reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots mobilization, urging party faithful and supporters to engage peacefully and responsibly throughout the campaign period. He also called for unity among stakeholders, noting that collective effort remains essential to achieving electoral success and sustaining long-term progress in Ekiti State.
He concluded by expressing confidence that voters would make informed decisions aligned with the state’s vision for stability, prosperity, and continued advancement.
