As Oyo State gradually moves towards the 2027 governorship election, the political landscape is beginning to assume a new dimension, with the electorate increasingly looking beyond political rhetoric to leadership capacity, administrative competence, experience and the ability to translate promises into measurable development.
Against this backdrop, the emergence of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, popularly known as BSA, as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presents a significant development in the political contest for the Government House, Ibadan.
Born on April 20, 1963, Senator Alli is a lawyer, politician and public servant whose career has been defined by years of engagement in governance, legislation, community development and public service. He currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, where he has continued to provide representation to his constituents while contributing to national legislative processes.
His political journey, however, is not limited to the Senate. It reflects a broader understanding of governance, grassroots mobilisation and the responsibilities that accompany public office.
Experience As A Foundation For Governance
