Constituents of Ogbomosho North have urged the national leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to disregard the candidacy of Christopher Oladunni Gbadamosi for the Ogbomoso North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly , describing him as a factional nominee who does not represent their choice.
The constituents staged a protest against the announcement of Gbadamosi, saying the decision misrepresented the outcome of the party’s primary election.

They insisted that Hon. Akin Oke-Mountain remains the authentic candidate of the ADC for Ogbomosho North State Constituency.
According to them, Akin Oke-Mountain emerged unopposed at the party primary held on Friday at Agboni Primary School, Ogbomosho, where a large turnout of members endorsed his candidature.
Confirming the position, the Oyo State ADC Chairman, Hon. Yinka Olona, said Akin Oke-Mountain is the party’s authentic flagbearer.
Speaking to journalists, he described Gbadamosi as “a destroyer” and “a joker” in the democratic process.
Olona urged members in Ogbomosho North and across Oyo State to disregard Gbadamosi’s claim, challenging him to prove his presence at the Friday primary at Agboni Primary School.
Reacting to the development, Akin Oke-Mountain called on party members to remain calm and law-abiding. He assured them of inclusive representation if elected in the 2027 general elections.
“I do not seek power at all cost. You demanded my representation for the transformation of Ogbomosho North, and I heeded your call. I remain the authentic candidate because I belong to the authentic home-grown faction led by Yinka Olona. Do not be moved,” he said.
The constituents said they would continue to back Oke-Mountain as the legitimate candidate who emerged through due process at the primary election.
