Nigeria at 66: Jubril Dotun Sanusi Congratulates Nigerians, Urges Patience, Resilience And Prayers for Nation’s Progress

The Okanlomo Oodua Worldwide and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has congratulated Nigerians, particularly the people of Oyo State, on the occasion of the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

Sanusi, who conveyed his goodwill message to Nigerians on Thursday, October 1, 2026, described the anniversary as an important occasion for citizens to reflect on the journey of the nation, its achievements, challenges and the collective responsibility of building a more prosperous and peaceful Nigeria.

He urged Nigerians to continue to exercise patience and resilience in the face of the challenges confronting the country, stressing the need for citizens to remain hopeful and committed to the progress and development of the nation.

According to him, the current challenges should not diminish Nigerians’ faith in the country, but rather inspire greater unity, patriotism, hard work and determination to build a better future for generations yet unborn.

 Sanusi,  Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort,  philanthropist and grassroots leader and mobilizer also called on Nigerians to continue praying for the peace, stability and progress of the country, noting that collective prayers, responsible citizenship and commitment to national development would contribute to the emergence of a stronger Nigeria.

He particularly congratulated the people of Oyo State, urging them to remain peaceful, united and supportive of initiatives capable of promoting economic growth, security, development and improved living standards.

The Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadan land, further called on leaders at all levels to continue to prioritize the welfare and interests of the people, while urging citizens to play their respective roles in strengthening the nation’s unity and democratic institutions.

The Okanlomo Oodua Worldwide expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its present difficulties and achieve greater prosperity if Nigerians remained united, resilient and committed to the common good.

He therefore wished Nigerians a peaceful and memorable 66th Independence Anniversary, while praying for continued peace, divine guidance and progress for Nigeria and its people.
