
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
According to the final results announced by the State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr Bunmi Omoseyindemi, the APC secured 319,224 votes, defeating its closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which polled 40,543 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 12,872 votes.
Oyebanji’s victory confirms his return to office for another term following a historic win at the polls.
