The visible presence and grassroots drive of Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA) and Engr. Henrich Akomolafe played a key role in boosting Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s victory in Ikere Local Government during the June 20 Ekiti governorship election.

In a statement issued by the HOA Media Team in Ado-Ekiti, the two APC leaders said their ward-to-ward mobilization, and voter engagement helped deliver Ikere’s massive support for the APC ticket.

Alonge and Engr. Akomolafe said their sustained interaction with party faithful, women groups, and youths across Ikere’s 11 wards built voter confidence and encouraged peaceful participation.

“Our presence on ground and commitment to peaceful mobilization strengthened APC’s grassroots structure. It contributed immensely to the impressive performance recorded by BAO/MCA in Ikere-Ekiti and across the state,” the statement noted.

They added that strategic coordination of party supporters helped inspire massive turnout and turned Ikere into one of APC’s strongest bases.

The leaders commended residents for their political maturity and peaceful conduct before, during, and after the election.

“We sincerely thank the good people of Ikere-Ekiti for your overwhelming support, loyalty, and commitment to democracy. Your votes reflect trust in BAO’s administration and desire for continuity in development,” they said.

They also appreciated APC leaders, stakeholders, and party members in Ikere LGA for unity and dedication that ensured victory at the polls.

Alonge and Engr. Akomolafe expressed optimism that Governor Oyebanji’s second term would accelerate infrastructure, good governance, and dividends of democracy across Ekiti.

“As celebrations continue, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that will bring more opportunities and projects to Ikere-Ekiti and all communities in the state,” they concluded.
