


The Chief Executive Officer of the Harrison Alonge Foundation and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA), has declared that the performance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji since assuming office in October 2022 has been unprecedented and deserving of a second term in office.
Alonge made this known in a statement released through his media aide, Comrade Ezekiel Ogunyebi, and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti following the APC Mega Rally held to mark the grand finale of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign in Ekiti State.
According to him, Governor Oyebanji has distinguished himself through impactful governance, strategic investments, and inclusive leadership that have transformed critical sectors of the state’s economy. He noted that the administration has recorded remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, education, agriculture, healthcare, rural electrification, community development, and youth empowerment.
The France-based businessman highlighted the government’s significant investments in education, including improvements in public secondary schools under the AGILE Programme, as well as initiatives aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, enhancing food security, and stimulating economic growth across the state.
He further commended the governor’s commitment to reconnecting communities to the national grid, expanding critical infrastructure, and ensuring that development reaches all parts of Ekiti State without discrimination.
Harrison Alonge therefore called on the people of Ekiti State to continue supporting Governor Oyebanji and his deputy Chief Mrs Monisade Afuye stressing that continuity in leadership would enable the administration to consolidate on its achievements and deliver even greater dividends of democracy to the people.
He expressed confidence that the governor’s record of performance would earn him overwhelming support in the 2026 governorship election.
The Ekiti Mega Rally attracted an array of prominent political leaders and dignitaries, including the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Shettima GCON; the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; the National Chairman of APC, Prof. Nathawaye,the National Campaign Council and Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani; the Chairman of the State Campaign Council for BAO/MCA 2026 and Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele; and the Co-Chairperson for Women Mobilisation for BAO/MCA 2026, Biodun Olujimi.
Also in attendance were governors from several states, including Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, Adamawa,Kogi,Edo and Bayelsa, alongside ministers and other top government officials.
The rally also witnessed the presence of former Ekiti State governors, including Niyi Adebayo, Segun Oni, Kayode Fayemi, and Ayodele Fayose.
According to the organisers, the event drew participation from 18 state governors, 24 members of the National Assembly, and notable cabinet members, including Dele Alake and Gboyega Oyetola.
“Governor Biodun Oyebanji has demonstrated competence, humility, and a genuine commitment to the development of Ekiti State. His achievements are visible across the state, and I believe he deserves the opportunity to continue the good work he has started,” Harrison Alonge stated.
