The Chief Executive Officer of the Harrison Niyi Alonge Care Foundation and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA), has called on the people of Ikere-Ekiti and Ekiti State at large to remain calm, law-abiding, and committed to peaceful coexistence as political activities continue ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

In a statement issued through his media aide, Comrade Olawale Ezekiel, and made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Alonge noted that Ekiti people are widely known for their values of wisdom, civility, and respect for the rule of law. He urged residents not to allow disagreements or political differences to disrupt the peace and harmony that have long distinguished the state.

The France-based businessman and political stakeholder also appealed to political actors in Ikere-Ekiti and across the state to conduct themselves responsibly, play by the rules, and avoid actions capable of undermining the electoral process or disturbing the prevailing peace being enjoyed across the state.

“Ekiti people are leaders by example. We must continue to demonstrate maturity, tolerance, and unity in our interactions. No meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of violence or unrest,” he stated.

Alonge emphasized the need for dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect among all stakeholders, stressing that the collective interest of the people should always take precedence over personal, political, or partisan considerations.

The Ikere-Ekiti-born philanthropist further encouraged residents to support efforts aimed at sustaining peace, stability, and development across the state, noting that a peaceful Ekiti remains the foundation for progress, prosperity, and good governance.

“Let us continue to uphold the values that make Ekiti unique. Together, in peace and unity, we will achieve greater heights and secure a brighter future for generations to come,” he added.
