The Alaafin and the Titan of Yorubaland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Engineer Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1, has commended the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies for their relentless commitments and significant contributions to the fight against terrorism and counter insurgency operations in the country, and the recent rescue of the abducted school pupils from the captivity of bandits in Orire.
A release issued by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bode Durojaiye, said Alaafin gave the commendation today when he paid a sympathy visit to the rescued pupils at the Odogbo Military cantonment, Ojoo, Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital , where they were receiving treatments.
According to the Paramount Ruler, “” our military is making vital strides in combating terrorism through aggressive intelligence-led operations, and precision airstrikes that continuously degrade insurgent logistics networks.
“The recent success of the Military and other security agencies in disrupting terrorist networks reserved praise for their innovative, intelligence-driven tactics that have proven effective in neutralizing insurgent threats””.
Oba Owoade who donated cash to the rescued victims, also appreciated why he referred to as ” relentlessness of other Monarchs towards the released of the pupils from the den of bandits.
The rescued victims, it was reported, has since been handed over to the State government.
