In continuation of his thank you visits to all the six political zones in Oyo State, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in the State, Chief Taofik Adegboyega Adegoke, on Monday evening, visited the ancient Oyo town to rub minds and thank leaders and members for their support.

Chief Adegoke who was accompanied by some State Exco members including, Hon. Kayode Akerele, the state treasurer, stormed the town in warm embrace of party leaders and exco members from all the four local councils of Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East and Oyo West that made up the Oyo Federal Constituency.
Addressing party leaders, members as well as those who are contesting for the National and State Houses of Assemblies at the party’s zonal office at Tengba, Oyo, Chief Adegoke promised a government that will be all out to meet the needs of the teeming people of the State if voted in the 2027 general elections.
The ADC Governorship Candidate assured that if the party got the mandate of the people of Oyo State, the first 100 days in office would be devoted to roads rehabilitation and construction, care of the needy and the elderly, and the development of the youths who are the leaders of tomorrow.
“We in ADC need your support and encouragement, to be able to provide the state with the needed development in the area of agriculture, health, water resources and bring education to the next level.
As an agrarian state, priority will be given to mechanised farming and infrastructure for the advancement of agric development.”
The short rally was almost disrupted by political thugs who were on hand to disrupt it. However, security agents who were on ground to maintain law and order prevented them from distrusting the process.
In their speech at the occasion, the party’s Oyo Central Senatorial District candidate, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi Mudashiru, as well as the House of Representative candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency, Engr. Hamid Adekunle Adebayo both expressed happiness at the turn out of the people to receive the governorship candidate, and enjoined the people of the zone to give their mandate to the party come 2027.
They both assured that ADC as a party will never disappoint them because of it’s benevolent programmes lined up for the people of the State.
