The Executive Chairman Ibadan South West Local Government, Hon, (Ambassador) Kehinde Adeyemi Akande has appealed to the people of the Council Area,Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole to take causion and do a peaceful protest to prevent damaging of properties and loss of lives

In his message, he urged the Council people against resorting to violence during hardship protest scheduled for August 2024.He empathized the legitimacy of the protesters’ grievances,but noted that it should be a peaceful demonstrations.

Council helmsman further noted that “The current economic challenges facing our nation are undeniable, and I empathize with those who are struggling. However, I strongly advise against resorting to violence or destructive behavior, which will only lead to more suffering and hinder meaningful progress of the state and the nation as a whole

Hon.Akande urged protesters to engage in constructive dialogue with authorities, seeking solutions that benefit all Nigerians. “Let us work together to address our challenges, rather than resorting to destructive tendencies that undermine our collective well-being.

Finally, Council Chairman appealed to security agencies to exercise restraint and protect the rights of peaceful protesters. He then prayed for peace to continue to reign in our Local Government, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole
