Speaking in Ibadan, Barrister Olanrewaju explained that our club sides and national teams have perfectly reflected the state of Nigerian football apart from the fact that Nigeria has not been part of the current politics in African and international football.

He argued that Nigeria best legs jet out of the country the following year they hit the limelight for greener pastures leaving the country with no skillful and experience players to prosecute matches in the CAF competitions pointing out that the country has to choose between making money or retaining it’s players at home for CAF competitions.

Late Yekini counsel also noted that another factor is insufficient facilities which has prevented Nigerian teams from playing their matches outside their home ground just as Rangers International and Shooting Stars football clubs of Enugu and Ibadan respectively did recently stressing that in this manner, it is will be difficult to win at their supposed home to ground since it is not their traditional home.

Barrister Olanrewaju revealed further that the picking of talent from the football academies instead of the streets has prevented Nigeria from soaring like in the past because the talent lacked the necessary ruggedness that would enabled them withstand whatever threats and opposition that will prevent them from winning at any competition.
