In every successful administration, there are individuals whose contributions are not always in the public spotlight but whose commitment, strategic thinking, and dedication help sustain the machinery of government. In my opinion, the administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) in Ekiti State has been fortunate to have such committed personalities working behind the scenes.

Among those who, in my view, have made notable contributions to the smooth operation and growing grassroots acceptance of the BAO administration are Mr. Tajudeen Adejumo, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Executive Governor, and Hon. (Mrs) Mary Osho Omotosho, the Director-General of Community Communications in the Governor’s Office.

Mr. Tajudeen Adejumo has earned a reputation as a meticulous, disciplined, and highly professional administrator. His ability to coordinate the affairs of the Governor’s Office with efficiency and discretion has, in my assessment, contributed to the smooth implementation of government policies and programmes. His dedication to duty and commitment to administrative excellence have helped strengthen public confidence in the workings of government while ensuring that the Governor’s vision is effectively translated into action.

On the other hand, Hon. (Mrs.) Mary Osho Omotosho has continued to distinguish herself as one of the administration’s most effective grassroots communicators. Through consistent engagement with communities across the State, she has helped bridge the gap between government and the people. Her approach to community communication has not only projected the achievements of the administration but has also created channels through which citizens’ concerns and expectations are conveyed back to government. This two-way engagement has, in my view, played an important role in deepening public trust and strengthening the relationship between the government and the grassroots.

The success of any government depends not only on visionary leadership but also on the quality of those entrusted with implementing that vision. Governor Oyebanji has repeatedly emphasized teamwork, inclusiveness, and service. The contributions of Mr. Tajudeen Adejumo and Hon. Mrs. Mary Osho Omotosho reflect these values. Their professionalism, loyalty, and unwavering commitment to public service have, in my opinion, made them indispensable members of the BAO administration.

As Ekiti State continues on the path of sustainable development, good governance, and people-centred leadership, it is only fitting to acknowledge public officials whose quiet but impactful efforts have helped shape the administration’s positive public perception and grassroots acceptance.

History often celebrates visionary leaders, but it also remembers the dedicated men and women whose competence, loyalty, and selfless services made those visions a reality. In my considered opinion, Mr. Tajudeen Adejumo and Hon. Mrs. Mary Osho Omotosho belong to that distinguished category of public servants whose contributions deserve special recognition and commendation.
