The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Candidate for Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency, Hon. Dawood Olalere, popularly known as D-al-Ameen, has congratulated Muslims across Oyo State and Nigeria on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448AH.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the occasion, Hon. Olalere described the Islamic New Year as a significant period for spiritual reflection, renewed faith, and commitment to the values of peace, sacrifice, perseverance, and righteousness exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
D-al-Ameen urged the Muslim faithful to take advantage of the sacred season to pray fervently for Nigeria, particularly at a time when the nation is facing numerous socio-economic and security challenges.
According to him, “Hijrah reminds us of the virtues of patience, faith, resilience, and unwavering commitment to justice. As we begin a new Islamic year, I urge all Muslims to continue praying for the peace, unity, stability, and progress of our dear country.”
The federal constituency hopeful also called on residents of Ibadan North West and Ibadan South West Local Government Areas to remain hopeful and committed to the collective task of building a more prosperous society.
He emphasized the need for leaders and citizens alike to embrace love, tolerance, and mutual respect irrespective of religious or political affiliations, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
While wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, rewarding, and spiritually fulfilling Hijrah 1448AH, D-al-Ameen reaffirmed his commitment to people-oriented leadership, grassroots development, and the pursuit of policies that will improve the welfare of the people.
“May Allah accept our prayers, bless our families, and grant our nation lasting peace and prosperity throughout the new Islamic year and beyond,” he said.
