Speaking during the visit, Hon. He noted that the City Boy Movement remains committed to standing by communities during periods of distress and uncertainty.

As part of the humanitarian outreach, the delegation distributed relief and healthcare materials aimed at alleviating some of the immediate challenges confronting affected households.

The gesture, according to the movement, was intended to provide comfort and practical support to families enduring difficult circumstances.

In a particularly emotional moment during the visit, Hon. Onireti announced a donation of ₦1 million to the family of the late Mr. Michael Oyedokun, the teacher who lost his life in connection with the incident. The financial support was presented as a gesture of sympathy and recognition of the family’s loss.

Beyond the monetary donation, the City Boy Movement also awarded scholarships to the two children of the deceased teacher, a move aimed at ensuring that their education is not disrupted by the tragedy that befell their family.

Addressing members of the community, Hon. Onireti reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to supporting vulnerable families and promoting humanitarian initiatives across Oyo State. He emphasized the need for collective efforts to strengthen security and protect citizens from criminal activities.

The State Director expressed deep concern over the pain being experienced by the affected families and offered prayers for the safe return of all kidnapped victims still in captivity. He also called for continued support and encouragement for relatives who have been left to cope with uncertainty and grief.

“We stand with every parent, guardian and family member going through this difficult period. Our thoughts and prayers remain with them, and we hope for the safe return of all victims as well as lasting peace and security in our communities,” he said.

Community members and beneficiaries who received the support expressed appreciation to the City Boy Movement for identifying with them in their moment of need, noting that the visit brought comfort and renewed hope to many affected families.

The visit underscores the movement’s ongoing focus on community support, youth development, and humanitarian service. The organization reiterated its resolve to continue providing assistance to vulnerable groups and responding to the needs of communities across Oyo State, particularly during times of crisis.

The City Boy Movement, Oyo State Chapter, maintained that acts of compassion, social responsibility, and community engagement remain central to its mission, pledging to continue initiatives that promote the welfare and well-being of the people.
