SUBEB Commissioner, Oyewo lauds Makinde over presentation of Staff office to Elevated High Chiefs In Ibadan

Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has been commended for making history on Thursday by presenting staff of office to 10 elevated High Chiefs in Ibadan land as beaded crown wearing Obas.

The commendation was given by the Commissioner, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Honourable Oluwaseun Oyewo while lauding the governor over the development.

Meanwhile, governor Makinde at the occasion had declared that the elevation of the High Chief was a proposition of the Olubadan-in-Council, which was only approved by his office

According to him, the commendation became inevitable owing to the wisdom and action taken by the governor in actualizing and achieving the long expected feat.

Hon. Oyewo who expressed confidence in the leadership of the governor said he deserves to be celebrated and honoured for the wisdom and courage which he used in achieving the historic development in Ibadan land.

“I commend the governor for his courage and wisdom, he is a dogged and forth right leader with high sense of leadership. The achievement is historic and indeed a welcome development for Ibadan and the people generally.

“I urge the newly elevator Obas to live up to expectation by ensuring that they see to the growth and development of their people and their environment. I also want them to see their elevation as call to service and must do everything humanly possible to make their people feel their impact positivity.”

Hon. Oyewo while calling on them to support the administration of governor Makinde in his developmental agendas, urged them to key into his laudable programmes with a view of transforming the people and their communities.

Hon. Oyewo commended the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr. Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, for the historic occasion held at the ancient Mapo Hall, Ibadan

He also lauded the governor for saying that his administration will approved the review since it was instituted internally and had the backing of the traditional council comprising the Olubadan-in-Council, the Senior Chiefs, Mogajis and Baales in Ibadanland.

He congratulated the new Obas, challenging them to work for the good of the residents of the state, even as he congratulated the Olubadan for making history, saying: “What is happening today has been destined by God.”
