The Management and Editorial Board of Oodua News Newspaper, Ibadan has congratulated and heartily extend their warmest congratulations to Chief (Mrs.) Olayinka Latinwo on her prestigious installation as the Yeye Bobagunwa Oodua by His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Arole Oduduwa.

The Installation will hold at the Ooni palace while the grand reception take place at the OJaja Arena, Ibadan road,  Ile Ife. 

The management of Oodua News in a release signed by the Editor In Chief, Comrade Richard Thomas described the honour bestowed upon Chief (Mrs) Latinwo by the Ooni of Ife as not only remarkable but a personal milestone and celebration of her unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and consistent commitment to the cultural heritage and collective progress of the Yoruba race.

“Her installation as Yeye Bobagunwa Oodua is a testament to the profound respect and admiration she has earned from the palace of Ile-Ife, the cradle of Yoruba civilization.

“Over the years, Chief (Mrs.) Latinwo has distinguished herself as a woman of substance—an accomplished leader, humanitarian, and cultural ambassador. Her various contributions to community development, women empowerment, peace building, and the promotion of Yoruba culture have set her apart as a beacon of honour and a model for the younger generation. She has demonstrated rare courage, integrity, and deep loyalty to our traditional institutions, virtues that align with the noble expectations of her new title.

According to the Editor In Chief, the honour of Yeye Bobagunwa Oodua is one of immense responsibility—symbolising guardianship, advocacy, and commitment to the unity and advancement of the Oodua people. 

“We are confident that Chief (Mrs.) Olayinka Latinwo will carry the mantle with dignity, wisdom, and excellence. Her exemplary track record assures us that she will continue to champion initiatives that uplift humanity, strengthen cultural bonds, and promote the rich values of our forebears.
