…Calls for PVC Registration, Door-to-Door Campaigns, Grassroots Engagement
The Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has urged members of the JDS Support Groups and his followers across the country to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Chief Sanusi specifically called on the groups to commence structured door-to-door campaigns to canvass support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, the governorship ambition of Senator Sharafadeen Alli in Oyo State, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The renowned businessman, philanthropist and grassroots mobiliser made the call in a statement personally signed by him and released through his media team.
He urged coordinators and members of the various JDS Support Groups to take the mobilisation campaign to their respective communities, wards and local government areas, while encouraging eligible voters to register, collect their PVCs and participate actively in the electoral process.
According to him, the strength of a political movement should not be measured solely by the number of its supporters but by its ability to translate that support into legitimate votes through active democratic participation.
Chief Sanusi also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a transparent, credible and inclusive electoral process.
He further urged security agencies to remain professional and provide adequate protection for voters, electoral personnel and other citizens before, during and after the elections.
Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development, community engagement, youth empowerment and people-oriented initiatives, Sanusi said sustainable political progress must reflect the collective aspirations of the people.
He charged members of the support groups to remain organised, peaceful and committed to democratic participation, stressing that preparations for the 2027 elections should begin with voter registration, community engagement and sustained grassroots outreach.
The statement urged supporters to take the campaign message to the doorsteps of eligible voters and encourage them to fulfil their civic responsibilities.
“Get your PVC, engage your communities, take the message door to door and get ready to vote. Our collective strength must be demonstrated through active participation in the democratic process,” he said.
