Other notable ministers present included the President of the Ibadan Baptist Conference, Rev. (Dr.) Oyekola Bamidele; the Resident Pastor of Gethsemane Chapel of Life, Eleyele, Ibadan, Pastor Bayo Owoseni;  Pastor Olubi Johnson; and many others.

In his sermon, Rev. (Dr.) Oyekola Bamidele, quoting from the Book of Acts Chapter 9, described the late Soetan as a woman who understood the mind of God in service.

“She was an accommodating woman and  disciple who raised many young people, especially in their education. She devoted her resources to charity, and these remain great standards she achieved,” he said.

Pastor Bamidele charged Christians to live lives of faithful service to God while on earth in order to be worthy of honour after death.

Evangelist Toun Soetan passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy that transcends music. Through mentorship, teaching, and worship, she shaped generations and pointed countless lives toward God.

In 1995, she founded the Trinity School of Worship (TRISTOW), driven by a mandate to raise true worshippers through both spiritual formation and musical excellence.

Following her conversion, she joined the Oritamefa Baptist Church Choir, where she served faithfully for sixteen years, balancing ministry, teaching, and family life.

In 1981, she released her first gospel album, New Life, marking the formal beginning of her full-time gospel music ministry. Over the years, she released several impactful albums, including Iye Re, Gbe Jesus Ga, Train Up a Child, and Sacrifice of Praise (Volumes 1 and 2), among others. From that point, her ministry took on a new dimension.

Activities marking her finally burial programme started on Tuesday 14th, 2016 with high attendance to honor her.
