Ramadan Lecture: Oba Ladoja Charges Muslims to Imbibe Lessons of Ramadan, Says, I will Always Praise Allah

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty Oba ( Dr) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has expressed his unalloyed gratitude to Allah for His mercy over his life , family and Ibadanland

Oba Ladoja made the expression of his gratitude to Allah during the Ramadan Lecture he organized at the Olubadan palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan on Tuesday.

According to the expression of the gratitude which was contained in a press release issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga shortly after the Ramadan Lecture.

“I owe Allah everything for sparing my life to witness year 2026 Ramadan Lecture, my enthronement as 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland and the peace that is reigning supreme throughout Ibadanland”, the paramount ruler further stressed 

The guest lecturer at the   occasion, the Chief Imam of Offa Sheik Muyideen Salman congratulated Olubadan for the grace he received not only to become Olubadan of Ibadanland but also for organizing year 2026 Ramadan Lecture the 1st of its kind since his enthronement as the Olubadan of Ibadanland 

The Chief Imam of Offa described Oba Ladoja as selfless, patient, kind hearted father and leader who believes in God’s time

The renown Islamic Scholar enjoined other Traditional Rulers to emulate the good virtues of the monarch in areas including uprightness, fairness, incorruptibility, welfarism , peace  loving and accountability 

The lecturer commended the State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his support and benevolence to Muslims not only in Ibadan but throughout Oyo State and beyond particularly in the areas of mosque building, donation of vehicles for Islamic propagation, giving food items among others 

“Governor Makinde is humble, cheerful giver and a man of peace”‘, the lecturer said 

He used the occasion to admonished all and Sundry to have the fear of Allah in whatever we do knowing fully that one day we will give the account of our stewardship to our creator, adding that we should not forget lessons learned during the Ramadan which include peaceful co-existence, alms to the poor, forgiveness and prayers for our father’s land

Dignitaries that graced the occasion included  the State Executive Governor represented by the Deputy Governor, Barr. Bayo Lawal, Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III Ajirotutu 1, Mr Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, Hon Bisi Ilaka, 

Others are Chief Bayo Oyero, Barr. Sulaiman Ajeniyi Ajewole, Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul Ganiyy Abubakar Agbotomokekere, Ekiti State Director-General for tourism, Ambassador Wale Ojo Lanre ,members of Olubadan-In-Council, representatives of Muslim societies, Imams, traders as well as politicians
