The ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt (Hon) Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as the substantive Speaker.
Obasa who was renominated during plenary session on Monday by Hon. Noheem Adams and seconded by Hon. Nureni Akinsanya, was sworn in by the Head of the legal Department of the House.
He pledged to listen to his colleagues, thanking the staff and the media for projecting the House well.
Before the reinstatement of Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Mojisola Meranda had earlier resigned during plenary session.
Meranda reading her resignation letter, she said the party’s decision is supreme.
She expressed appreciation to her colleagues for elected her as Speaker 49 days ago.
Meranda, however, was renominated as Deputy Speaker and confirmed as such.
