The Executive Chairman of Afijio Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Olufemi Aikomo has sworn in members of the Executive Cabinet which comprises 10 Supervisory Councillors and 11 Special Assistants in Afijio Local Government today Wednesday 24th of July, 2024 at the Council Secretariat Jobele , Oyo State.
The swearing- in held immediately after the screening of all Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistants Nominees by the Legislative Arm of Afijio Local Government ably led by Hon. Akinade David Adeyemo at the Legislative Chamber of the local government.
Hon. Olufemi Aikomo expressed gratitude to God for making it a reality and he also gave a big kudos to the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde and all PDP Leaders for the kind of leadership they all demonstrated in selecting the caliber of people that have worked tiredness in promoting the PDP party and present administration in Oyo State.
The Council Boss further congratulated the newly sworn-in appointees while he reminded them that their appointment is a call to serve their people in the grassroot and also work for continuity of OMITUNTUN 2.0 beyond 2027.
Hon. Olufemi Aikomo disclosed that his office is open for meaningful advice and contributions towards achieving a rapid development in Afijio Local Government.
Speaking separately at the event; Hon. James Olukunle the PDP State Deputy Chairman and Hon. Seewo Odunewu(Former Chairman Afijio LG) congratulates the newly sworn-in appointees and advised them to cooperate, diligent, and work hand in hand with the administration of Hon. Olufemi Aikomo in order to move Afijio Local Government to an enviable position in Oyo State.
Hon. Adedeji Aderinola the newly sworn-in Supervisory Councillor on behalf of newly sworn-in appointees expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State and PDP Leaders for giving them the rare privilege to serve their people and also pledged their unflinching support to Hon. Olufemi Aikomo administration.
