Oyo ANBROAD Chairman, Amb. Ayanrinde Unites warring FIBAN, ANBROAD Members

The Chairman, Association of Nigeria Broadcasters (ANBROAD) in Oyo state, Ambassador Opeyemi  Ayanrinde has admonished members of the association and others who are still with Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) in the state to be united and work for the progress of the new association.

Ambassador Ayanrinde gave the admonition at a round table meeting with members of both factions on Sunday at Correct Hotel, Agbadagudu Yemetu,  Ibadan.

it will will be recalled that Ayanrinde became the pioneer ANBROAD Chairman on May 29, 2024 at a well attended election which took place at the Ministry of information, Secretariat, Ibadan.

The ANBROAD Chairman urged them not to allow the age long crisis which earlier rocked FIBAN further cause division among members, adding that the development gave birth to the new association.

According to him, essence of the round table meeting was to address the issues causing division and then chart a new course for the progress of the association.

“It has been my plan to bring members of ANBROAD and those who are still with FIBAN together to address the  issues for once. I really thank those of you who saw my message and responded appropriately by attending this meeting. This is a clear sign that you all stand for peace and harmony for the association.”

“I also want to inform you that my administration has been working tirelessly since I assumed office as the pioneer chairman of ANBROAD on  progressive programmes that will promote members welfare.

“We are  working on health and life insurance scheme, training and retraining programmes for members, as well many other benefits for members. Gone are the days when members welfare are not catered for, my  administration will prioritize this and ensure members feel the positive impact of my leadership.”

Ambassador Ayanrinde who is fondly addressed as MC Swagger  assured them that his administration will ensure that every member is well represented in the state, and as well operate open door policy, accountability, and other administrative policies that will contribute positively to the association and the lives of members.

Speaking,  Akinyefa a versatile broadcaster lauded the chairman for his courage and high sense of  humility and responsibility  with which he addressed  the  people, adding that his administration will succeed if he allows positive contributions  around him.

In their various contributions, members commended the high initiatives of Ambassador Ayanrinde at ensuring that peace, love and mutual understanding reign supreme among them all.

They encouraged him to discharge his leadership duties with fear of God, accountability and operate an open door policy in order to further unite members irrespective of where they belong.

Also speaking, the Matron of ANBROAD in the state, Chief Mrs Olajumoke Lawal described the meeting as  a welcome development, just as she commended the understanding of the members to amicably resolve their differences at once.

Chief (Mrs) Lawal, a  People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain in Egbeda Local Government, and fondly addressed as Mama Pineapple appealed to them to cooperate and support the administration of Ambassador Ayanrinde in order to achieve excellent results in his tenure.

Some of the  popular broadcasters who attended the meeting included Ajibola Akinyefa, Samuel Ibikunle Arugbo Boiz, Ojo Adewusi (Dan Kadanu), Temitayo Oyeladun Abo Oro, Olushina Alayo Ogo Ede, Prophet Akintayo Yusuf Kengbe Oro, Afolashade Ajala, Wale Adeoye, Aderoju Omotosho, Isaac Dada Baba Gbajamo.

Others are  Remi Adejumo Baba Okiki, Tolulope Orente, Yeye Adefunke Adeniyi Asake Oreke, Remi Babajide, Ahmed Olajide, Omoba Saheed Akere and Osundele Adewale Omo Iya Eleja.
