Oyo Lawmaker Bisi Oluranti Micheal commends Gov. Makinde, Adegoke for success on Youths  Empowerment Programme

A lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly Honourable Bisi Oluranti Micheal has commended the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and the Commissioner for youths and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke for creating an enabling environment for young people to succeed in the state.

The commendation by the vibrant lawmaker followed the success recorded at the just concluded three days youths empowerment programme held at Lagbami Osekun hall, Ogbomoso South Local Government, Arowomole area of the council.

According to the legislator, the recently concluded Youth Empowerment Programme in the Ogbomoso zone stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the governor to uplifting the Youths and providing them with opportunities for growth and development.

“I must confess to you that the programme was a success, there is no doubt that the Youths themselves must have learnt and gained something very beneficial to their lives, I really commend the governor and commissioner for youths and sports for this initiative.”

Hon. Bisi Oluranti Micheal described  governor Makinde as a visionary leader who has always encouraged the Youths in his leadership activities, adding that the state has witnessed tremendous development under his governance.

Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde, known for his progressive policies and people-centered governance while addressing the youths  encouraged them  to be creative and be committed to posive values that that will shape the future positively.

Governor Makinde who emphasized the critical role of the Youths in shaping the future of the state and the nation  reiterated his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for young people to succeed.

“We recognize that the future of our state lies in the hands of our young people, this programme is part of our broader strategy to ensure that our youths are equipped with the necessary tools to achieve their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society. 

“We are committed to investing in education, skill acquisition, and entrepreneurship to create a brighter future for all.”

The Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Wasilat Adegoke in her speech thanked the governor for the initiative, just as she  encouraged the participants to take full advantage of the opportunities presented to them and assured them of the government’s unwavering support.

“Our youth are our greatest asset,” the Commissioner stated. “We are dedicated to providing platforms that will enable them to harness their potential and transform their lives. This  three days empowerment programme is just the beginning, and we will continue to roll out more initiatives to support our young people.”

The programme  featured a variety of workshops and training sessions, covering areas such as digital skills, entrepreneurship, vocational training, and leadership development among others.
