
Students in public secondary schools across Aare Latosa LCDA have been urged not to indulge in any act of social vices such as CULTISM, drug abuse and thuggery

The call was made by the Political Head/ Administrator of the LCDA, Hon. Ayoade Akeem Adewale, during a sensitization programme organized by the Council Area in collaboration with an Anti-cultism body known as “OPERATION CAMPUS STORM”

The programme was aimed at enlightening and sensitizing secondary schools students with maladaptive behaviour against cultism and drug abuse
While admonishing the students to desist from any act that can disrupt their lives or affect their studies, Ayoade cited that cultism or drug abuse is evil, deadly and kills, adding that, it destroys dreams and aspirations of whoever indulged in it
He stressed that a well behaved and successful child is a pride to his/her parents, teachers and the world around urging them to strive to succeed in their studies to be successful and fulfilled rather than the evil ways or deeds*
Earlier in his welcome address, the Head of Local Government Administration, Deacon AJEBISI Olabode emphasized the significance of the programme as an eye opener for the students to know the consequences and implications of getting involved in the mentioned social vices
Olabode also assured them of protection and safety in case of renouncement from these vices
The facilitator cum speaker eulogized the present administration of His Excellency, Gov Seyi Makinde at ensuring all schools are drug abuse and cultism free zones
He also noted that waging war against cultism and drug abuse in our schools, is a collective and collaborative efforts which must yield positive results promptly.
In her opening remarks, the Director of Education and Social Services, Alhaja Ojedele who was ably represented by her Deputy, Mrs Saanuade Olaronke charged the students to be good ambassadors of the LCDA, children to their parents so that their parents will be able to reap the fruits of all they laboured on them noting that, good behaviour is the beauty of any personality
Present at the programme were the councillors representing Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Ajao, Hon. Olasemo, Hon. Williams and Hon. Alayande. Also, the programme had in attendance, the Director of Admin & General Services, Pastor Dada Oluwaseun, ; Chairman, NULGE Ibadan North LG, Comrade Kemi Adeniji; HOU, Education , Mrs Owoade and the Chaplain, Pastor Mrs Adekanmbi;
