…Outlines Four Key Areas of Focus
Dr. Akin Fagbemi has charged the management and staff of Oyo State Health Management Board (OYSHMB) on dedication and commitment in order to achieve effective service delivering and sustainable healthcare services for the people of the state.
Dr Fagbemi gave the charge In a passionate address during his official resumption as the head of the Board.
Recognizing the vital roles OYSHMB plays in ensuring the well-being of the people of the state, Dr. Fagbemi, during his resumption address on Wednesday, emphasized the need for continued dedication to healthcare excellence while addressing the challenges and complementing the progress made thus far.
Despite the challenges faced, Fagbemi acknowledged the administration’s efforts in addressing manpower, infrastructure, and equipment issues. He emphasized the need for continuous improvement and called on OYSHMB staff to support him in delivering better and more modern health services.
Fagbemi outlined four key areas of focus which include advanced health services, nutrition care, preventive medicine, and telemedicine.
To elevate Oyo State’s healthcare system, he advocated for the integration of cutting-edge medical technologies and practices, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive nutrition care programmes, preventive medicine, and telemedicine adoption to expand healthcare access in underserved communities.
“Fagbemi’s vision for the future of Oyo State’s healthcare system involves fostering partnerships with the private sector, international organizations, and local communities, with the ultimate goal of establishing a sustainable and inclusive healthcare system.”
He concluded by expressing confidence in the OYSHMB team and encouraging stakeholders to work together towards building a healthier future for Oyo State’s residents.
