Irepo Council boss, Oyetunji hands over with gratitude, rallies support for  new chairman

The outgoing Chairman of Irepo Local Government area of Oyo State, Kisi, Hon. Pastor (Dr) Joel Oyedokun Oyetunji  has expressed profound gratitude to Governor of the  state, Engr. Seyi Makinde (FNSE), and the Deputy Governor, Barrister Raheem Adebayo Lawal, for the opportunity to serve as chairman in his council

 He expressed this gratitude on Thursday, 16th May 2024 at a special program organized by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Irepo Local Government branch and the management of the local government held at the Local Government Secretariat in Agede, Kisi. 

Hon.  Oyetunji who described the opportunity as a rare privilege  has significantly transformed his life and political career,  commending his vice Hon. Adekunle Olawoyin, all members council executives, legislative members, special advisers, and all political functionaries for their unwavering support and collaboration. 

He also extended his appreciation to the career officers, led by the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Alhaji I. A. Adeleke, and the general staff for their unwavering cooperation since his assumption of office.

Oyetunji urged the staff to extend  maximum support to the incoming administration, emphasizing the importance of continued  efforts to provide the dividends of democracy at the local government level.

The programme featured special prayer session for both the outgoing and incoming administrations, Words of commendation from staff and political associates goodwill message among others.

In attendance were the wife of the outgoing chairman, Deaconess Christiana Oyetunji, the  PDP Party Chairman in the Local good, Alhaji Ismail Odejide, Secretary to the Local government, Chief of Staff, Supervisory councillors, serving legislative members, ward chairmen, career officers, and the entire staff of the local government..

The event marked a significant moment of reflection and appreciation for Oyetunji as he hand over the reins to his successor.
