Ramadan: Oyo MSMEs Coordinator, MC Swagger’ urges Muslim Faithfuls to Intercede for Nigeria, says FG/state grants on course

The Oyo State Coordinator for Forum of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise, (MSMEs), and  Business Membership Organization (BMO), Ambassador Opeyemi Ayanrinde has admonished Muslims all over the country to imbibe the lesson of Ramadan and use the period to intercede for the survival of the nation.

Ambassador Ayanrinde, gave the admonition in Ibadan while speaking on the importance of adhering to lessons of the holy month, which has to do with love, Peace, giving of alms to the less privilege  in the society.

According to him,  the essence of  Ramadan fast  is to show love to others, make peace with others, and to humble oneself before God Almighty.

Ambassador Ayanrinde who is fondly addressed as ‘MC Swagger’ encouraged Muslim faithfuls to ensure they continue to exercise  the lessons of the holy month even after Ramadan. “I congratulate Muslims faithfuls on the Ramadan fast which is still on course, I  urge them to continue to exercise the lessons of the holy month even after Ramadan, which has to do with piety, humility and  fear of Almighty Allah.  I pray God will continue to abide with all Muslim faithfuls.

Speaking on the on going MSMEs programme in the state, the ace broadcaster said the programme which is a project of the state and federal government is aimed at assisting and improving the living standard of the people of the state.

According to him, “Our target is to support and empower the people, especially the beneficiaries to live a life sufficiency through provision of grants and loans. If you look around now, you will see that the economy of the nation is something else, that is why government is coming up with the programme to assist the people..”

The ace broadcaster, who is a human right activist cum Politician expressed confidence that the provision of financial support by government would definitely improve the living standard of people and as well change and  the strengthen the business environment of the state.

While commending the support and  visionary leadership of the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the development,  Ambassador Ayanrinde who is Special Assistant on Mobilization to the Speaker of the state, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin said they have already signed Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the federal government and the state government, adding that they are also working with the Ministry of Trade and Investment in the state on the project.

“The essence of this is to build and strengthen the economy of the people and improve the business environment of the state. The business environment of the state will change positively because the federal government and the state government are into palliative to assist the people and to the glory of God MSMEs, the grant coordinator in the state has secured 300 opportunity for people in the state. 

“Though, this is the first set, I want assure others that the scheme will be extended to them after completion of the first set of beneficiaries.
