The Deputy Majority Leader of the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Samson Olasunkanmi Babalola has assured members of his constituency of prompt delivery of dividends of democracy in his ongoing administration.
The lawmaker who represents Egbeda state constituency in the Assembly gave the assurance while speaking with Oodua News Newspaper on his plan to improve the living standard of members of his constituency, just as he urged them to cooperate with his administration and governor Seyi Makinde.
He said the synergy between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state is aimed at addressing the hardship facing the people of the state with provision of real dividends of democracy.
“We, members of the 10th Assembly are working assiduously with the state government under the leadership of governor Seyi Makinde to ensure that we provide succor to the people of our constituencies and the state as a whole.
“As lawmakers and representatives of the people, we have roles to play in contributing to their development, hence, the synergy between us and the executive arm of government to work hand in glove to ensure quality implementation of government policies such that will improve their living standard. I want to assure the people of Egbeda constituency that they will enjoy quality representation in my ongoing administration.”
” I also want to urge them to cooperate with my administration in order to enable me deliver dividends of democracy to them as much as possible.
“You all will recall that in my first four years in the last administration of governor Seyi Makinde, that I did fulfill my electioneering campaign promises to you, so, this time around I will do my best again to ensure that I fulfil my promises.”
The legislator said plans are in top gear to set the ball rolling again in this dispensation, adding that proper arrangement would be put in place to ensure that the people all benefit from the scheme and by extension.
Said he: In this dispensation, I will try as much as possible to ensure that the people smile home with something good in the empowerment schemes in order to alleviate their sufferings. God will give us the wisdom to reach out to them.”
He admonished the people to cooperate and support governor Seyi Makinde led administration in his quest to move the state forward especially for extending the wage award scheme for civil servants in the state.
He described governor Seyi Makinde as a visionary leader who has the interest of the people of the state at heart.
