
Nigerians have been admonished to be patient with the reforms and transformative agenda of President Bola Tinubu aimed at repositioning the country and achieve a new Nigeria.
The admonition was given by His Royal Majesty, the Sabiganna of Iganna Kingdom, Oba Soliu Oyemonla Tella Azeez, Agunloye iv in an exclusive interview with Oodua News Newspaper in Ibadan.
The highly revered Monarch said the people need to be patient, cooperate, support and pray fervently for the President to enable him succeed in his efforts to move the nation to enviable heights.

According to him, the emergence of President Bola Tinubu is divine and a welcome development for the nation, saying, there is the need for Nigerians to understand that there is no magic anywhere that can turn the nation around overnight.
He urged them to cooperate, support and pray fervently and commit the president into the hands of God for divine leading to achieve his transformative agenda.
“The intention of President Bola Tinubu is to create Nigeria of our dream but the system has not allowed him to achieve this. If the system were working, he would have laid the foundation for the Nigeria we all desire.
“President Tinubu is just a victim of circumstance in the face of things due to the cumulative problems he inherited. He has the capacity and experience to rule Nigeria, that is why Nigerians should cooperate, pray and support his efforts.
“This is the time to bear the pains of his reforms, because the huge decay and gross indiscipline which had been done in the past will take some time to be corrected. The kind of democracy introduced to us in time past was full of mischief, back stabbing and others, this is still affecting our progress and development.”
The Monarch said President Tinubu as a person has good intentions for the nation, but Nigerians need to change their orientation, mindset and key into his transformative agenda, so that we can achieve a positive turning point in view of his quality reforms.
According to him, if the people and the nation need to go forward, this is the time we need to make a lot of sacrifices, because the pain we are going through are as a result of past misdeeds or mistakes made by past leaders, and the way forward is to bear with the government of Tinubu.
“We can’t achieve anything good without pain, after pain pleasure and comfort will be achieved, Nigerians need to be patient. The pains the people are going through today shows that President Tinubu is working hard and he intends to return the country to prime position. If he is not determined to work, there wouldn’t have been any pain and he will continue to borrow to run the country. This simply means we are postponing the evil days.”
Oba Oyemonla Azeez who described this era as era of transition said Nigerians must key to the reforms and policies of the President in order to achieve a new Nigeria, adding that the genesis of the nation’s problem is traceable to the errors which occurred during the British Colonial era and indirect rule.
The Monarch faulted the system whereby traditional institution which is supposed to be the bedrock and foundation of governance and administration was ejected during the era of indirect rule.
“The nation’s leaders after Independence ought to have constitutionalised our own monarchy system or traditional institution. The British who colonized us still operates Monarchy system of government. We have the resources but the nation has had bad managers of resources over the years.”
“At the time of accepting democracy, Nigerian leaders ought to have entrenched traditional Institution into our constitution in order to enable traditional rulers have input in the overall governance and development of the nation, that is where we missed it at the beginning.”
“I urge the President to as a matter of urgency fashion traditional Institution into the nation constitution in his ongoing reform programme, as this will help improve governance and administration of the country”
The Sabigana said the entrenchment of traditional Institution in the constitution would go a long way to strengthen governance of the nation.
He said in each domain, traditional rulers have always played their legitimate roles to ensure peace and progress in their respective domains, just as he called on President Bola Tinubu to approve the entrenchment of traditional Institution in the nation’s constitution in order to strengthen governance.
