The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Aryfad Travels and Tours Limited Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Dr Raymond Adeyinka Adewale has described the death of Ondo State Governor, Barrister Rotimi Akeredolu as a colossal loss to the Yoruba race and the nation as a whole.
Reacting to the sad development in Ibadan, Dr Adewale noted that Arakunrin Akeredolu fought hard during the ailment but succumbed to the icy hands of death. He said his legacies and contributions of the late governor to the development of Ondo state will always be remembered.
Governor Akeredolu answered the eternal call while receiving medical treatment in Germany. He succumbed to complications arising from protracted prostate cancer.
In his condolence message, the business mogul said, “I extend my deepest condolences on passing of Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. His death was a colossal loss to the Yoruba race and the country as a whole. Arakunrin Akeredolu was a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the service of the people of Ondo State, South West and Nigeria as a whole.Governor Akeredolu’s legacy will be etched in the hearts of the citizens he served.
Dr. Adewale, while reflecting on the transformative impacts Akeredolu had on Ondo State, noted that he steered the state towards progress and development adding his commitment to education, healthcare, and infrastructural advancements has left an indelible mark, earning him admiration and respect.
In this challenging time, Dr. Adewale called for support to the family, friends, and colleagues of Governor Akeredolu, acknowledging the grief that would envelope the state and emphasized the need for unity and solidarity to navigate through this difficult period.
As the people of Ondo State mourn the departure of a charismatic and dedicated leader, Dr. Adewale encouraged everyone to remember Governor Akeredolu’s legacy with gratitude and celebrate the positive impact he made on the lives of many, saying the loss is profound, but the memories of Governor Akeredolu’s leadership will endure, serving as a source of inspiration for future generations.
