Nigerians have been admonished to pray for peace and stability of the nation as we approach 2024 so that the country can return to prime position
The admonition was given by the General Overseer of Christ Centered Prayer City (Budaale Mountain), Odebudo, Iragbiji in Osun State, Prophet Julius Abiola Ayotunde at the 2023 Christmas Carol programme of Christian Legislators’ Fellowship International, Oyo State House of Assembly.
According to him, it was high time Nigerians worked out the peace of the country among one another in order to allow peace to reign supreme in the country.
Speaking on the theme, “Peace Be Still”, the Clergy charged the people to put their faith in action and command peace on the nation as demonstrated by Jesus Christ in Mark 4:39, adding that such action is capable of quenching the storm in the country.
“The country is going through a difficult time as a result of economic challenges shaking the nation. As Nigerians, it is time we tolerate one another and put faith into action as demonstrated by Jesus Christ in Mark Chapter 4 verse 39 so that the country can return to prime position.
” The nation is going through so many problems like kidnapping, banditory, hunger and others, hence, Nigerians need to pray and work out the peace of the nation.”
Prophet Ayotunde while praying for the Peace of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole assured the people that peace will return and reign supreme in the country come 2024.
He appealed to the people to always bless the country like the Americans do to their country– the United States of America, saying such attitude is part of faith capable of moving the nation forward.
Speaking with Journalists, a member of the Christian Legislators’ Fellowship, who also anchored the Programme, Honourable Gbenga Oyekola urged the people of the state to embrace peace in order to overcome the troubles and socio economic challenges confronting the state and country.
Also addressing Journalists, the President of the chapel, Honourable Oluwafemi Oluwafowokanmi said what informed the theme of the programme was the need to admonish the people on peace of the country.
“What informed the theme of the programme was the need to address the many problems facing the nation. I believe if Nigerians pray hard and embrace peace among one another, the country will experience total peace in 2024.”
