Yuletide: embrace peace and fear God always, Afijio Lg boss, Akindele urges Nigerians

As the Christmas celebrations draws near , the Executive Chairman Afijio Local Government, Hon. Sunday Akindele Ojo (SAO), has urged the Christians and Nigerians to embrace peace and always fear God as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.

A release signed and made available to Oodua News by the head of information unit of the local government, Folashade Oduola,the Council Boss ably represented by the Leader of the Legislative Chamber ,Hon.Ajao Amos Oladapo made the submission during the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Carol of Afijio Local Government Christian Chapel held today at the Local Government Chapel at Jobele.

The Chairman used the opportunity to felicitate with all residents of Afijio Local Government as well as Christians on this year’s Christmas Celebrations.

“There is every reason for us to appreciate God Almighty for sparing our lives to witness this year’s celebration and we must not take this privilege for granted, we should praise God ” the chairman stated.

In his welcome address, the Chaple Chaplain Evangelist Oladosu Ezekiel appreciated the presence of all guests and members while he prayed that we shall all celebrate many Christmas in the earth of living.

According to his sermon, Rev. Olokede admonished individuals to use the birth of Jesus Christ to turn to God and do away with sins.

The program witnessed short drama, Christmas songs, and special prayer for Nigeria, Oyo State, Afijio Local Government, and individuals.

Personalities in attendance were; the Head of Local Government Administration Alhaja Amdalat Salau, the acting Head of Local Government Administration Afijio West LCDA, Prince Paul Olawuyi, the Director of Administration and General Services Mr. Omotoso David, the Director of Finance and Supplies Mrs Janet Oyedare, the Director of Budget Mr. Kunmi Adeoye, all Chapel Chaplains in Oyo among others.
