The Oyo State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, alongside the party’s House of Representatives candidate for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Hon. Saheed Adejare Yusuf Alaran, on Wednesday continued their consultation and familiarisation tour with visits to traditional rulers, Christian and Muslim leaders, and critical grassroots groups in Iwajowa and Kajola Local Government Areas.

The high-powered delegation comprised Alli’s running mate, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji; former Deputy Governors, Hon. Iyiola Oladokun and Engr. Rauf Olaniyan; party leader, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle; member of the National Executive Committee, Hon. Gbenga Olayemi Ariba; and other prominent party leaders and stakeholders.
During the visits to the two local government areas, the delegation paid homage to traditional institutions and held strategic engagements with the League of Imams and Alfas, as well as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), to strengthen relationships with religious leaders and traditional authorities.
The team also engaged critical grassroots groups, including artisans, members of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) and APC faithful, in discussions aimed at understanding their concerns, aspirations and expectations.
The engagements provided an opportunity for the candidates and party leaders to listen to the people while presenting their vision for a prosperous, inclusive and progressive Oyo State.
The delegation expressed appreciation to the people of Iwajowa and Kajola for their warm reception and hospitality, describing the consultations as fruitful and enlightening.
Alli and Alaran reiterated their commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance and sustainable development that would improve the welfare of residents across Oke-Ogun and other parts of Oyo State.
The consultation tour underscores the party’s determination to strengthen grassroots connections, engage relevant stakeholders and promote its vision for an Oyo State that works for everyone.
