The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Harrison Niyi Alonge Care Foundation (HNACF) and APC chieftain, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA), has urged the people of Ekiti State to take advantage of the various policies, programmes and economic opportunities being introduced by the Federal Government ahead of the 2027 general election.
Alonge made the call in a statement released through his Media Aide, Comrade Olawale Ogunyebi, and made available to journalists in Lagos shortly after prayers held in honour of his late mother, Mrs. Bolatiwa Racheal Alonge, who passed away nine years ago.
The Ikere-Ekiti-born philanthropist urged the people of Ekiti to remain actively engaged with government initiatives, particularly policies and programmes designed to alleviate poverty, promote youth development, empower women and create sustainable economic opportunities.
He particularly encouraged youths, women, entrepreneurs, farmers, artisans and other members of the productive sector to take advantage of legitimate government programmes designed to promote economic growth, empowerment, job creation and improved livelihoods.
According to him, citizens should not only participate in the democratic process by exercising their voting rights but should also position themselves to benefit from legitimate government interventions and programmes at both the federal and state levels.
He stressed that the success of government policies depends largely on effective implementation, public participation and the willingness of citizens to take advantage of available opportunities.
The APC chieftain urged the people of Ekiti to sustain their support for policies and programmes that promote development, peace, unity and economic prosperity, while encouraging political leaders to remain accountable, transparent and responsive to the needs of the people.
As the 2027 general elections approach, Alonge called for issue-based political engagement and peaceful participation, urging the people to carefully assess the track records, competence, integrity and development vision of political leaders before making their choices at the polls.
He further appealed to Ekiti youths to remain hopeful about the future of Nigeria, stressing that their energy, innovation, creativity and active participation in governance are essential to building a stronger, more prosperous and inclusive nation.
“The future of Ekiti and Nigeria belongs to all of us. Let us remain peaceful, politically conscious and development-oriented, while taking advantage of every legitimate opportunity provided by government to improve our lives and communities.”
Alonge also promised that he would continue to support initiatives aimed at promoting youth and women empowerment, good governance, grassroots development, entrepreneurship and economic advancement across Ekiti State through the Harrison Niyi Alonge Care Foundation.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting programmes that contribute meaningfully to the welfare of the people and the overall development of Ekiti State.
