The Okanlomo Oodua and President of Atlético Berja FC, Spain, Chief (Engr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has been officially installed as the Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I.
The installation marks a significant milestone in the life of the prominent Ibadan-born businessman and philanthropist, who described the elevation as a great honour and a call to greater responsibility in the service of Ibadanland and humanity.
In a statement following his installation, Chief Sanusi expressed profound gratitude to the Olubadan for the confidence reposed in him, saying he was deeply honoured and humbled by the prestigious elevation.
He said the new position had renewed his commitment to contributing meaningfully to the progress and development of Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria.
The new Gbonka Olubadan also appreciated his family, friends, associates and the people of Ibadanland for their unwavering support, prayers and goodwill over the years.
According to him, his elevation marks the beginning of a new chapter in his service to the traditional institution and the people, assuring that he would remain committed to promoting the progress, unity and sustainable development of Ibadanland.
Chief Sanusi stated, “This prestigious elevation is one I receive with profound gratitude, a deep sense of responsibility, and renewed commitment to the service of Ibadanland and humanity.”
He further expressed appreciation to all those who had been part of his journey, describing their support and goodwill as invaluable.
