In a statement issued on Friday by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the police chief commended workers for their resilience, dedication, and contributions to the socio-economic development of Oyo State.

He noted that the commitment and professionalism displayed across various sectors have remained critical to sustaining peace, stability, and progress.

CP Olugbenga paid special tribute to officers of the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies for their role in safeguarding lives and property. He also acknowledged the efforts of health workers, teachers, farmers, traders, artisans, transporters, journalists, civil servants, and labour unions, describing them as key drivers of development.

The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to its constitutional responsibility of maintaining law and order. He said policing efforts in the state would continue to align with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, with a focus on ensuring a safer environment for residents.

He further disclosed that the command would strengthen internal accountability by rewarding officers who demonstrate excellence while sanctioning misconduct in line with established regulations.

The Police boss assured residents that proactive and intelligence-led policing strategies would be intensified to enhance security across the state, stressing that a peaceful environment is essential for economic growth and workers’ productivity.

He urged residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and supportive of security agencies by providing timely and credible information to aid crime prevention.

The police commissioner congratulated workers on the occasion and encouraged them to continue promoting unity, diligence, and patriotism in the interest of Oyo State and the nation at large.
